K-9 Catholic School Coming to Rivers Edge

Design funding has been granted for a brand new Catholic K-9 school directly in Rivers Edge. Design funding means that the Catholic School Board can do all the necessary work required to prepare for future construction. More information will be shared as planning progresses.

2024 Award of Excellence Finalist

Rivers Edge was the finalist for Best New Community at the Canadian Home Builders Association Edmonton Region 2024 Awards of Excellence.

Big Island Provincial Park Coming Soon!

The Government of Alberta, the City of Edmonton and Enoch Cree Nation are partnering in the creation of Big Island Provincial Park. The park will be located along the North Saskatchewan River in Southwest Edmonton, just minutes south of Rivers Edge. Planning is currently under way.

Maskêkosihk Trail is now open

Maskekosihk Trail opened in 2022 and provides improved access to the community for residents. The road connects Rivers Edge directly to Anthony Henday Drive giving residents comfortable connectivity to all the City has to offer. This 2-kilometre stretch of arterial road is the first major roadway in the City of Edmonton to be given a name in honour of the Cree First Nations. Maskêkosihk is pronounced as Muss-Kay-Go-Sik.
